Dança na educação: uma análise abrangente dos benefícios e impactos na formação integral dos alunos
Abstract
Introduction: This paper proposes an in-depth investigation into the integration of dance in educational settings. Dance, as an artistic expression and educational process, transcends mere skill acquisition, playing a crucial role in enhancing basic skills, fundamental movement patterns, and the development of human potential in connection with the world, while also fostering knowledge construction. Objective: To conduct a comprehensive literature review on the inclusion of dance in the educational curriculum, focusing particularly on the benefits provided by this practice and how it positively impacts learning and the development of cognitive, motor, and social skills in students of different age groups. Methodology: The methodology adopted involves a detailed review of literature, exploring research and studies published in scientific articles and indexed sources over the past five years. This approach will allow for a critical analysis of diverse perspectives on the benefits of dance in education, highlighting trends, gaps, and recent findings in the field. Results and Discussions: The results of this literature review reinforce the undeniable importance of dance in the teaching-learning process, highlighting its comprehensive benefits in student formation. Dance emerges as an effective means to promote gradual student development, reflecting not only in improvements in academic performance but also in positive behavioral changes. Active participation in dance significantly contributes to cognitive, motor, and social development among students. It not only offers engaging physical activity but also promotes creativity, self-expression, and confidence, essential elements for a well-rounded education. Furthermore, dance creates an inclusive environment where students can explore and celebrate their differences, contributing to the building of a more cohesive and collaborative school community. The outcomes of this review emphasize not only the theoretical benefits of integrating dance into the educational curriculum but also point to tangible practical applications. Implementing structured dance programs in schools can be an effective strategy to enhance not only physical fitness but also academic performance and overall well-being of students. Establishing dance as an integral part of physical education offers a holistic approach to student development, promoting not just physical health but also cognitive, social, and emotional skills, thereby contributing to the comprehensive formation of individuals prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. Conclusion: This research highlighted the imperative need to consolidate dance in the educational curriculum as an effective strategy to enrich students' learning experience. The literature review not only underscores the physical and cognitive benefits of dance but also emphasizes its pivotal role in promoting a more inclusive, dynamic, and enriching school environment. Thus, the effective integration of dance into educational practices not only enhances student formation but also contributes to creating more engaging learning environments where each student can thrive and develop fully.
