PREVALÊNCIA DA INCONTINÊCIA URINÃRIA EM ATLETAS CORREDORAS DE RUA
Resumo
A incontinência urinaria é um dos sintomas que acarreta desconforto nas atletas corredoras. Consiste na perda da capacidade de controlar a bexiga, causando escape involuntário de urina pela uretra. Analisar a prevalência de incontinência urinária de esforço em atletas corredoras de rua. Através de uma pesquisa do tipo transversal, observacional, descritivo com dados quanti qualitativa. Foi realizada na cidade de Icó -CE. Foram incluídas mulheres, com faixa etária entre 20 a 45 anos, que praticam corrida de rua cinco dias na semana, a no mínimo um ano. Foi realizado a aplicação de dois questionários, que foram divididos em duas etapas. As mulheres abordadas tinham em média, idade de 34 anos, de 30 participantes que realizaram a corrida de rua, 15 sentiram vontade de urinar e reclamaram a perda urinária, as mesmas oscilavam entre as que já pariram e as nulíparas e todas praticavam corrida de rua 5 dias por semana. 100% delas relataram perder urina em gotas, ou seja, 65% das atletas corredoras de rua alegaram perder urina durante a corrida, 25% indagaram não controlar os jatos de urina e 10% não quis revelar dizendo que controlam a vontade de urinar. Conclui-se que, é necessário a conscientização para melhores esclarecimentos sobre o desconforto na região pélvica. Embora houve participação das atletas corredoras de rua instigadas, pôde-se observar sentimentos de timidez ao relatar as informações. Vale salientar que o tema é relevante e necessita de continuidade na pesquisa por ser de cunho social e possível de discussões acerca do tema.
